It's usually very rare to see a good American movie without stupid sex scenes, violence and drug and mind altering substances usage scenes. I guess what Americans or in general Westerners mostly like to see! I never understood why there shall be a scene of a couple becoming intimate in, for example, a science fiction! What I do understand is the media has a big role in how society shapes!
With that in mind, and without spoiling the movie, I just have to say that it's a movie about a disaster and the people who try to expose it to the public before it becomes out of control. Jane Fonda and Jack Lemmon have the lead roles and Michael Douglas has a small character, the usual one(!) which you might have seen: The person with hysterical laughs and sudden eruption!
I had not seen Fonda in any movies before but Lemmon has a role in JFK and of course his fame comes from the time that movies were still back & white!
