Crime of Passion, not Profit

I watched Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho a few days ago. What a great movie. Unbelievable! A movie like that made in 1962 equals hundreds of craps they make these days and they are just waste of time and money. The movie is amongst the ones I downloaded them in 2003.
There are sequels to that but I’m not interested. Notorious is another one and I guess these two are the only ones from Hitchcock that I downloaded them. I made a list of the movies that I have on DVD and CD and it turned out to be a total of 226 titles. I got rid a number of them which happen to be cheap stupid ones, all the ones Resurrect (Ray or Reza the Microbe) had brought them from his brother-in-law video store, the one which he ran later and then had to sell it and lost a lot! Idiot.
I’m not goin’ to tell the story of that crime here which eventually is known as a crime of passion not profit, as the main character, who actually is a two-face or two character man, commits. So if you like suspense and horrors, Hitchcock is the best and Psycho probably one of his best.
(Photo: A shocking scene from the movie, a woman is using a dagger, stabbing someone in the shower. You won't find out to the end who she really is!)

Christams Lighting and Decoration

I was walking home from work the other night (before Christmas) and just a few meters away from the main entrance noticed lights. I thought it was Christmas related but when I got closer I noticed an RCMP cruiser, actually two, and one with flashing lights. I recorded a short clip with my camera phone and thought it's better to put it here to see how stupid this clip cameras are today. I didn't want any mobile set like that but these days there's no mobile phone without camera, music player, radio and all kind of that shit. Have a look.

True Meaning of Christmas

It’s Christmas today and I’m home now. Might go out for a little walk. I asked three people, all Christians, about the meaning of Christmas tree and other Christmas stuff, two had no idea at all, the other one knew a little! What a bunch of jerks! I mean how the fuck do you do something that you don’t even know what it means?! You should be a real jackass!
S. T. told me that the idea of decorating an evergreen tree for Christmas has come from Germany. He, I believe is a religious Christian. Different Christians believe in different Jesus' birthday, but most agree on Dec. 25.
After all I know Christmas has been turn to a big shopping festival all across Canada, the US and Europe and then also assholes in the countries which are not even Christian! It was said once that retailers have over 30% of their annual sale in Christmas, something that I easily believe. It was though in the news last night the Americans’ spending for holiday has dropped 6% while their earning has dropped only 2%. I, myself needed many things, essentially, not luxury items, as explained but decided not to buy, as don’t know what will happen even tomorrow. Who does?!

No News is Good News

I learnt part of my English from my friend The Brave whom I used to live with as his tenant in his house for a little more than six months. One thing he used to say was No News is Good News. Now I truly understand what he meant. I have been always a big fan of CBC and especially its The National but these days I barely dare turn the TV on. It’s all about recession, global economic slump, bailout and all other crap like those.
I also remember the woman who used to say she never listened to the news because there was nothing good in them! I can understand her now. One thing that I don’t understand is why nobody ever wants to find the motherfuckers who are responsible for this fucking mess who damages the entire world! That would be good news to hear when I hear they have been sentenced to life in prison.

Higher Cost of Living

I went to the closest Safeway to get a medication for this damn muscle spasm which has bothering me since Thu., my first day off and had a look at the rice isle as I need to buy some. A bag of Basmati rice of that brand which I don’t recall at the moment is sold for almost $20 now. The exact same brand and weigh, (10 lb), I remember once I bought from a Safeway in Calgary for $14 and that was mid. 2006. It means the price of that product is 1.43 times higher now.
I got the same amount of rice from Superstore under the brand of No Name and it was not so bad and cost me only $11. It’s obviously not as good as that one but in this shit situation, I think I better spend as less as possible.
But Mom says something brilliant. She says better to spend more on a quality product and consume just enough, not more. So I’ll see which one works for me.
But it was mostly blamed on the high price of gasoline and gas is sold under ¢85 a litre now. It, I think was being used as a scapegoat only. At the same time the price of vehicles are goin' down. Look at a few examples I have here:
  • New 08 Pontiac G5: $9988
  • 08 Toyota Yaris Hatchback: $9988 (The last offer I had and it was almost 3 months ago was over $15000 for an older model and I was approved but escaped!)
  • 08 Chevy Cobalt: $9988
  • 08 Toyota Corolla $13888 ( I was goin' to buy a 04 for more than $16000 just 3 months ago from a motherfucker Chinese but didn't get approved and was rejected! Hope those motherfuckers are bankrupt now!)

It's hard for me to decide as it's very uncertain situation now. I think and am quite sure that I'll be hired for the next year but just am afraid of risking. I will need a reliable and nice vehicle nevertheless when my family comes.

Extreme Madness

I'm a big fan of Mike Tyson and regardless of what he has been through including the recent bankruptcy, I liked his as a good sportsman. At the same time I always thought that he's a crazy man. I look at his biography and watch a collection of his fights that I own and all I see is rage and madness.

I believed in that until I watched a few fights on TV: UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championship. That's absolute madness. Guys beat the shit of their opponents. The guys is bleeding like hell and is receiving punches. Looks like there's no rule. Fighters are in a cage and could be pushed to the fence and kicked until go unconscious. That's the time the referee stops the fight. So if you think Tyson or other professional boxers are crazy, rephrase your mind after watching one or two UFCs.
(Photo: Tyson here is seen in 2008 Cannes Film Festival where a documentary about his life was shown. I'll write about that later)

Games in Life

Remember when you were a kid, in elementary and playing snakes and ladders? I have it clearly in my mind: Roll the dice, go ahead, get stung, go way back, reach a ladder, jump up and on and on.
This is exactly how the Capitalism society of West works. You get a job, have a family, build a life and go forward and eventually you find yourself unsupported, suspended in the air. People take too much risk. They most of the time spend more than what they earn. At this time of the year, Christmas, people put so much on their cards and it’s usually takes 6 months to pay it off! Also it’s said that retailers usually gain more than 30% of their annual profit at this time of the year.
I’m getting off the road.
That’s anyway is what drove the whole world to this mess at the moment. People in the States received too much credit to buy homes and then they were not able to pay and received foreclosure. And that caused more trouble, like a domino game! So you have live your life in a way you play chess because there’re snakes everywhere and also ladders that might slide off when you’re climbing up.

Don't Do It!

I saw an advertisement in The Peace Arch News local newspaper about adult correctional facility officer opportunity and decided to apply. The wage sounds good and the job seems secure but decided to consult my former classmate W. M. who is a retired juvinal correctional facility officer. We were classmate for over 3 weeks. He’s a very nice gentleman in his early 60s. He wished me lucked in my way to the Navy. This is his wife’s answer to my question. She is a retired officer of the same position. Stresses and explanations by me:

Adult corrections have lost 75% of their employees – and there’s a reason. The inmates are abusive to you (physically and mentally), you have no one ‘backing’ you up for safety, you’re in the middle of a large room with up to 60 inmates walking around (you’re by yourself), you get spit on, feces thrown on you; you get crappy shifts and there’s no respect from your peers, your supervisors, your managers and certainly not the inmates. People who come in usually leave after a very short period of time.

There are some good things – the pay is good, the benefits are good. By far the negatives outweigh the positives. Also note that the money they get is only temporary as the wage increase was to entice more people to come on board. The money was offered temporarily – the Union expects the money will be taken away in 2010. You only get the ‘extra’ money when you work. Any benefits are paid at the normal rate, such as any annual leave, etc.

W. (don't mix it up with George W. Bush) worked in the business for 25 years and I worked in the business for 28 years. That’s a long time and one might ask why someone would stay in the business if they hated it so much. Everyone in the business agrees that it’s only been since 2004 that it all went to ‘crap’. That’s when Premier Campbell closed half the correctional centres and shoved all the inmates into cells with other inmates, and then cut back all the budgets for staffing by 30%.

So ...
DON'T DO IT!

Poverty (2)

I need to buy some stuff and those are not fancy things like an iPod. Those are things that I really need in my daily life. First of all I need a pair of boots because this damn pair of shoes licks. I have two winter jackets and both are more than 7 years old! The Columbia has no zipper in front, it’s broken or whatever you call and the Timberland has the same problem but has button. The problem with that is I lost the hood almost 3 years ago. So basically it’s useless. I paid more than $350 for that Columbia and think have to pay the same again.
Today I was going to a London Drugs to buy a bag for my cameras because I left mine in Nottingham when I was visiting my cousin but turned back because I don’t know where I will be in the next week. Car dealers advertise all over the newspapers with cash back, free gas, not to pay for 6 month, 0% financing, free oil change for life and other services and bonuses like that but I can’t buy even the cheapest one because I’m uncertain of my future.
I stopped eating out or buying fancy stuff and snack I used to in this shit situation and guess have to stick to the new my own rules until the future notice!

Se7en Sins after 13 Years!

1- Greed (An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth)
2- Sloth (aversion to work, laziness, indolence)
3- Pride
4- Envy
5- Glutton (a person who eats or consumes immoderate amount of food or drink)
6- Lust (intense or unrestrained sexual desire)
7- Wrath
No! This is not what I’ve done in past 13 years. Or maybe I did! May be I committed some of ‘em! Let’s see:
1- I’ve never been the one with greed. I actually am against this and has clearly stated by my behaviour and also in my posts. A. J. is a good example, a person who does anything to gain money. That’s a different story but it’s mainly because he was deprived of everything when he was child and then after marriage he found someone who’s being looked down by his wife’s family and has been suffering from that ever since!
2- It’s something that I’ve never think of. I might be called workaholic and energetic. Who could work for Cargill Foods for more than 4 years and also get so close to all those fucking awesome jobs and then simply looses them!?
3- I might have been proud at times. That you could say.
4- Never! I’ve never been jealous or envied anyone. That’s probably why I never gain anything! Because I think what I am and what I have is good enough and better than the most!
5- I would be probably 250 to 300 Lbs not 185, if I was a glutton. I like eating and actually I eat too much at times but exercise and can, not eating for long periods as well.
6- That’s something would, for sure, made me laugh, if was told so. I think my sex drive is even below average! Sometimes I think of number of women and girls whom could be so happy with my one night stand and it never happened! I hope I never have problem with my significant permanent other!
7- This one could be a problem and I’m working on it, seriously but I might need a therapist.
The seven deadly sins of Christianity is what the movie Se7en is based upon but S. T. My British partner who’s fairly religious doesn’t believe this. I didn’t argue with him or asked more but he said that the sins were originally the 10 commandants.
Anyways Se7en was filmed in 1995 and I downloaded it in 2003 and just watched it last night, after more than 5 years! It’s a wonderful movie. Pitt and Freeman are simply fine. It’s the story that keeps your eyes on the screen. I think the movie won one Academy Award for it screenplay. It definitely goes to my favourite movies and highly recommended ones.
(Photo: A set of coffee cups representing the seven deadly sins. Some believe in another set of sevens which is not goin' to be covered here!)

Long Overdue Just Has Been Done

Stephan Dion finally stepped down as the leader of the Liberal Party. That could have been one of the most stupid mistakes ever the Liberal did in the history of their existence: putting Dion as the head of the team. He appeared for the last time in a video which was horrible: Blur picture, same English illiteracy and bad accent, etc. Michael Ignatieff eventually got appointed as the leader. No campaign, no banner, no party. The other two candidates simply stepped away and made the path clear for him. Ignatieff was being accused for two things which prevented him from being leader in that last campaign:
1- Showing sympathy to Hezbollah and Lebanese in 2006 short war between Israelis and Hezbollah.
2- Living abroad for a long time and not being aware of Canadian politics as a result of that.
But the Liberals, I guess, didn’t have anybody else and had to use him. Rae, a close friend of him who at the beginning looked like that wanted to start a long battle, changed his mind and the other one did the same before.
Now with the Parliament shut down until Jan. 26 we wait to see what will happen after that, what Ignatieff bring to the scene and how ready Harper is.
(Photo: Israeli mechanized artillery in 2006 Hezbollah-Israel war. Like the way Michael Jackson states in the beginning of his fabulous video, Thriller, showing Israeli tanks firing at Lebanese territory doesn’t imply any sympathy to Hezbollah or Lebanese)

A Very Pleasant and B-e-a-utiful Day

Today I experienced personally one of the most beautiful scenes that I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life. I’m still thrilled after almost 8 hours. Here’s what happened:
There’s this bar and there’s a guy who always parks where he’s not supposed to. He has a big truck and a trailer attached to it. I gave him a verbal warning once and then a warning ticket. The third time I saw him I gave him a real ticket and he said that he would meet with me the day after to discuss the situation and I obviously explained to him that I only enforce the law, I don’t legislate it or whatever you call. Then I ticketed him another time. So the number of tickets rose to 3.
Today I was driving and saw him parked there, this time in a way that no vehicle, specifically mine could get through. So I stopped in the middle of the road and ask J. M. to issue a citation, this time for obstruct. As he started I got out and took a photo and called the supervisor and explained the situation. He confirmed what we were doing. As soon as I finished my photography, the guy came out and said that he was parked on private property! He called the sidewalk and the street private property and didn’t care about blocking the roadway. J. M. said that it was city property and that drove the guy so mad. He started shouting and swearing like hell. I got into the vehicle and so did J. M. As I was backing up to get the hell out of there I saw the hotel people who were looking out the windows and we saw the guy took the ticket from the windshield and threw it away!
J. M., the idiot, whom has been told that should be careful around the neighbourhood, learnt a good lesson today, I guess. I had told him that we are surrounded by dangerous and violent people and we risk our lives every day when we’re at work and he denies all the time. So today was a good example for him. I told him that the guy took two steps toward him and was about to throw a swing at him. He believed that and added that the guy was drunk too. I don’t know if he was but he was not a very bad guy the two times that I talked to him. I also encouraged him to write a report but the asshole cannot write so just put a few words in the book. I added that he would have to talk to the supervisor. And he said he would! So I had a very good time today and I’m goin’ to mention that to J. M. every day from now on. May be he forgets that he’s a perfect guy and listens to everybody else.

Ghost Dog

One movie out of tens that I downloaded a few years ago, could be 5 years ago (Gosh! What a waste of life I’ve had so far!) is Ghost Dog. I just wanna say that it’s a great movie and a must see for sure, no doubt. The story just ends too soon, though. That’s the only problem with the film. And guess who the star is? Forest Whitaker. He became famous after he received an Oscar for the best actor in The Last King of Scotland. I have seen another movie of him and that’s Panic Room and that one is great one too.
There’re a few points in the movie which either the director or screenwriter/author wants to mention:

1- Elderly people watching cartoon while pretending reading book. Or watching cartoons as their first hobby.

2- The best friend of the main character of the movie is someone who doesn’t speak the language he does! They communicate and remain friends, play chess and everything.

3- A quiet and calm dog at times appears in front of Ghost Dog and stares at him!

4- Most importantly, the main character of the movie who’s a black man, bases his life on a Samurai book, which gives amazing advices.

You figure out what they are implying by the said points and let me know while I’m goin’ to find out more about the book and post here.
(Photo: Forest Whitaker as Ghost Dog and rapper RZA in a scene of the movie. This is the only scene that you can see RZA. Kind of Hitchcock tip!)

The Booming Business

There’s one business that is hiring and pays good, if you’re looking for a job in this uncertain economy. It’s not a supermarket of a fast food restaurant or a retailer in a shopping mall. It pays a lot more and you’ll be hired a long time and don’t have to be worried about your job security, especially if you have good customer service capabilities.
But there’s one condition and that might be applied to you: You should be female. Yes! They only hire women. They might extend their business to men soon, but there’s no near future plan, as far as I’m acknowledged.
So what’s this excellent opportunity which has everything that someone might need? I tell you what it is: Being a prostitute! There was news on YAHOO that the request for being prostitute has gone up significantly in the US, where prostitution is legal. The madam, a former prostitute who runs the whorehouse said she even received an application from a 72-year-old woman! She stated though that the rates are much lower than before. It means that people still want to have fun but don’t want to pay that much. She said that for a group sex party which usually she charges $24000, she just received $6000 which is ¼ of the regular cost.
If you open these local free magazines and even the paid ones which you can almost find everywhere in Lower Mainland, you see pages of escorts, massages, dates and sex therapist and we all know that they all provide the same service but only have different names and of course tastes! It’s like goin’ to McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King or A&W. They all serve hamburger but they all have their patrons. Not to mention that I don't eat at any of the said ones. There's one interesting thing that Resurrect (Reza the Microbe) said ones: instead of eating hamburgers 2 or 3 days a week, wait and have a steak once a months, if you know what he means. Good point!

Dion’s Avenge Goes in Vain

The three opposition parties formed a coalition to overthrow Harper’s new government. The reason was Harper wanted to cut back the public funds to the parties and that drove them mad. The Conservatives is the only party who’s not heavily dependent of the said source for his expenses.
Dion who’s under pressure from part of his caucus to resign, accused Harper of directed the country in the wrong direction. So did the NDP and Block’s leader. While Harper condemn what they had done, the parties expressed that same kind of coalition could have been formed when Harper is election race a few years ago.
Another election could have cost millions of dollars again and Harper simply didn’t want Dion who’s frustrated after his loss to become the Prime Minister that easy. So he asked The Governor General who was on a European trip to shot down the Parliament! She immediately came back and did that and now the Parliament is closed until Jan.26.
I, as mentioned earlier, didn’t vote in the last election but the Conservative has formed a minority government and I think, in this disgusting, unstable situation everybody should help the government, no matter who’s in it, to protect the economy. So I agree with what the Governor General did regardless the fact that might be considered dictatorship.

The Chess Players

I went to Burnaby to get a package sent by Mom from DHL last week. The asshole came all the way to my apartment and without phoning or buzzing just stuck a note on the entrance, two times. Can you imagine someone this much stupid? So my advice to you is never ever send anything by DHL unless it’s business related. If it’s residential building, you just waste your money.
Anyways I got there and it was pouring and the damn shoes was leaking! Again don’t buy any shoe from The Shoe Warehouse. I paid almost $110 for this pair and after 2 min. it’s like you’re walking barefoot! It’s actually even worse because your socks absorb water and get heavy! I’m getting off the road. So I’m in there and there’s a young East Indian fellow probably 15 or 16 and you know how they are mostly not open. The girl grabbed our receipts and said that she would be back in a few min. I said that we would be playing chess. I always joke around and people like that. Then I told the young fellow that I had watched a movie that two people were playing chess in their minds! He said that he had recently watched that movie with his dad but couldn’t recall the title. I still can’t ‘cause that was years ago. Then I thought that could have been The Chess Players directed by Satyajit Ray and told him. He didn’t know anything about the movie and the director but knew it was not an Indian movie.
I watched that movie years ago partially in IRIB and I stress partially because foreign movies in IRIB are always played partially and cut and also for whatever reason, perhaps studying, I didn’t watch the whole movie and can’t recall much of it. I think it’s about two people who are so into chess that they forget about everything including their wives and the women get involved in affairs and so.
I’m goin’ to either rent or buy the movie and in the meantime let me know the title of the other one if you find it.

Nov. Result

I didn’t have much time to do my Cooper Test exercise in Nov. That’s mostly a result of this stupid time frame of work. I most of the time have to start at 12:00 and finish at 20:30. Basically there’s time for nothing.
I performed my exercise only 9 days while the usual count is 15 at least. The result is not so bad. There are things that I have to consider for this month and after:

1- Always use the same treadmill. (This is not possible though!)
2- 14:00 to 17:00 is the best time of exercise. Don’t pass 18:00.
3- Gym attire is important as well. Don’t put on long sleeve and other clothing that make you sweet like a big.
4- Concentrate on the run especially in that last minute and half.
Let’s hope the above prescription helps.
(Photo: The horizontal axes is days and the vertical is time. No need to say that it was not nice consecutive days. May be I show the empty days in the next chart. Would be helpful)

Totally Screwed After 7 Years

Seven years ago in a year like this I arrived in Calgary International Airport and started my life in Canada. I’ve had good days and bad days but I haven’t got what I wanted yet, overall. I might not have tried hard enough, especially in the 2nd and after that but my goal, when I applied for the permanent visa was just get the hell out of there and my goal when I came, at the beginning, was just to stay.
I succeeded admirably but can’t live like that forever, especially at the moment with this stupid job and crap wage. I again started job hunting a few days ago and so far just found two position and have applied for them but I don’t there’s a big chance in this slow economy and this time of the year. Regardless of all the facts, I keep applying until I get what I want. I don’t give up easily. After all, I’m The Tough Guy! And when the things get tough, the tough gets goin’!

Flashback (16): Hitchhike

I went to Burnaby to get a DHL package sent by Mom today. It was pissing starting the morning. The stupid guy came all the way to my place and just put a not at the main entrance without buzzing or calling me. That's why I had to go to their depot.
What also happened is I went to King George Skytrain and asked one of the Skytrain guys how to get there. I had been there once but I completely forgot especially at night and this shitty weather. So the girl told me to go to Edmonds instead of Holdom. It would be much easier and faster.
Anyways while I was on the bus I was thinking of going' back home and thought there might not be any bus. Obviously I was wrong because most of the routes have late services and it was only 06:30 PM. I thought of hitchhiking and that took me almost 7 years back.
It was my first days in Canada and I went to Cargill for employment. I clearly remember the day, a cold day in Dec. of 01 but I can't recall for what I was there. I finished my thing and walked to the road, stood, extended my arm and showed the hitchhiking sign. It was dark and apparently no one stopped. It was the time that of the downturn after Sep.11 attacks and nobody trusted no one, especially a foreigner like me. I guess I went back in and got a cab to go to Calgary.
(Photo: This map of B. C. Skytrain shows where Holdom and Edmonds are. DHL is only 20 min. walk from Holdom, No doubt that it would be much easier if I went to that station first)

The Red Thin Line

I bought The Red Thin Line years ago but I just have the chance to watch it completely. The movie, a war movie about Americans fighting Japanese in the Pacific was released the same year as Saving Private Ryan. Although many movie stars play in this movie directed by Terrence Malick, it didn’t win any Academy Awards®. Steven Spielberg’s won a few. I’ve seen and own both movies and I can’t say that Saving Private Ryan is better than The Red Thin Line in any way. In fact I like Malick’s better.
After all I think The Academy which is ran by the politicians like every other business in the US, refused to accept The Red Thin Line simply because it’s an anti-war movie. It’s a war movie just made to show the darkness and evil of all wars while Spielberg shows how brave Americans are.
Sean Penn who’s known as one of the very known and popular anti-wars activists, acts in the movie and it’s said that he never asked for a salary. So it’s the matter of the message you’re sending.

Shocking Book

I followed up that fucking Syrian Arab, Arar’s story (check this, this, this and this) and was quite unhappy after I found out that he had been paid millions of dollars by the Government as a compensation package.
What I read today in the paper is even more saddening and at the same time shocking. A book has been published recently which the author claims that Arar is an American agent! I don’t know what kind of agent he could be or what he has done for the Americans but it’s also said that Americans paid that million dollar compensation package. It’s just part of a book 544-page book which I’d like to buy and read. May be you should too.
(Photo: Dispersing the Fog by Paul Palango a Globe and Mail national editor, a book about Maher Arar, the Syrian-Canadian who claimed he was sent back to Syria on his way back to Canada by Americans and was prisoned and tortured. Refer to the above links for the story and obviously the book for the ambiguity!)

The Worst Place on Earth

Moving to Brit"shit" Columbia (B. C.) has probably been the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life. B. C. is for sure the most hatred province of Canada in my view. It’s a nice place to see, for vacation but the most stupid place to live. There’re just not jobs but the filthy surviving ones, mostly: Cashier, security guard, waiter, waitress, labourer, driver and so on. And how much do you really think you make?
It’s said anything less than $16.75 (or so) is considered below line of poverty. The other guys have not better life than that; Looks at the higher-paid jobs: firefighters, cops, nurses and other service sector employees. They work long shifts and have to deal with different kind of mentally and physically sick people and face every different type of hazard every day of their life. Firefighters’ shift is 4 days of 12 hours a week! Nearly all of the nurses I’ve seen here are addicted to nicotine or other substances. I don’t know what percentage but a large number of police officers are alcoholic. It was just less than two weeks ago when a drunk RCMP officer killed someone in a car accident.
Obviously the same problems exist for the same jobs in the other provinces but what makes this province different is its fucking disgusting weather. It’s hot in summer and it’s pissing on you all the fall and winter. So if you really are thinking of goin’ to Canada, just forget the worst place on earth. I’m moving out next year, goin’ back to Alberta. So whatever bad happens in Brit”shit” Columbia, makes me happy ‘cause I hate this place with all my heart and mind. Vancouver Canucks, their only professional hockey team is the one I hate the most in the entire league. Their lost their fucking net minder last night as a result of injury and it’s known when he will be able to come back. That made me happy a lot. Fuck Brit”shit” Columbia, the most stupid place on earth.
(Photo: The asshole, the shithead goalie of Canucks is fucked up so bad and hopefully will miss so many games and the representatives of Brit"shit" Columbia lose all the games during his absence and most of them after that)

Early Bird

One thing that I experienced this morning is, for your information, that the newspapers are in the stands at about 02:00 AM or a bit later. It means they should be ready at midnight and get distributed then. But if you're someone like me who watches The National every night, then the headlines will look familiar. But there's always something worth reading in the paper.

Different Treadmills

I went to the gym today for the second consecutive day in this week and although I went to bed last night around 02:00 AM and woke up at about 09:00 AM and felt tired all day long, I did a 1:41 on my Cooper Test practice.
I was not as tired as I was the day before. I think that's because I used a different treadmill. There might be a difference between machines. I started with 7.0 mile per hour and then increased it to 7.1 after 6 min. and 7.2 and up. The same kind of exercise made me tired the night before that.
Anyways I'm goin' again tomorrow and I'll be trying a newer, bigger machine and we'll see the difference.

NW Police (2)

I received a letter from NW Police last Fri. and it showed it's over. I passed the two exams, the POPAT which I got 3:51 min. and the Wonderlic Personnel Test which I got 22 and that's the minimum acceptable. But I failed the memory and got 12 which I needed at least 15.
It's stated in the letter that because there were enough qualified candidates, there would be no chance for re-writing the test. But this is not what the recruiting officer said when we finished POPAT. He said he would give a chance to the ones who fail one exam but obviously he prefers Canada-born younger people whom their parents are police officer at the moment in the city!
That's fine by me. This is not the first time that I'm being eliminated as a result of discrimination but I thought I was good and I can make a good cop but may be I was wrong. I think I should go back to my field. I'm going to write CQE of ASQ in the next year. I have already started studying but hasn't been good so far. But I'll get better and better.

Animal Ansari is Found Guilty

One problem this country has is because the Federal Government wants to make money out of the income tax, they let every kind of different people in and they don’t care about their background. Animal Ansari is one of them: a careless, lazy, bully, spoiled boy from a rich Iranian family in West Vancouver where the supporters of ex-Shah of Iran live.
Another reason that CIC issues permanent residence visas daily, no matter who the applicant would be, is jobs. Look at, just in case of Ansari, the number of people who get busy when he stabs his friend to death and drags his body to leave at a corner: Police officers, paramedics, judges and jury, newspaper reporters and publishing staff and many more. So what would these people do, if there was never somebody like Ansari?
The Animal will be sentenced next Fri. I'm hoping the harshest sentence for him, a possible 15 to 20 years in prison with no parole at all. After all the prison guards and correctional facility staff should be busy too. Should't they be? But who's paying them? Me and you, the taxpayers. So instead of having more buses, cleaner cities, better services, newer bridges and so, your money will be spent on animals like Ansari in prisons.
(Photo: The handsome Ansari and his killer smile. Thank you Government for harbouring this creature!)

NW Police

I went to S. J.’s place to get a pile of letters I had, as a result of not having my address changed. NW Police invitation to exams was among them. The letter was obviously dated way back but wanted me in JI of BC last Sat. to do two written exams and the POPAT.
So I went to New Westminster to take the exams. The first one was a 12 min. exam which I had to answer 50 questions and I don’t think I passed 33 or 34! The second one was looking at three different photos for three minutes and answer 3 or 4 pages of questions in again 3 minutes. The officers were very friendly and helpful. It was much better than the stupid CBSA which I had to sit shoulder by shoulder to people and there was no room to even move my hand.
After that we went for POPAT, a run, jump, pull, push and throw test. We were a group of may be 15 people including 4 girls and I was the oldest, I think. I remember I only had seen POPAT once on TV in Calgary when Calgary Police Service was trying to recruit officers from England but I never practiced that. So I waited and watched. It was hard for most of people especially if they were too skinny, too heavy or not in shape but mostly did it in the desired time, 04:15.
I decided to go just a few before the last one and I did have a very good start, I went the wrong direction 2 times but eventually finished in less than 03:55 but don’t recall the exact time. The recruiting officer said we would receive our results in a letter and the qualified persons would be invited for an interview.
(Photo: A diagram of POPAT. More detail can be easily found everywhere on the net. There are even place that train you for that, I didn't need any, not even at this age!)

Silliness of the Optimists

I really didn’t want to write anything about this recent election of the US because I’m not actually so fucking cheerful for his win but decided to write this because after all I use this blog to express myself and write down about the things that I will read later and will be amusing to me.
All of these stupid assholes who cheer for the first Black president of the US don’t know that a ruined country is now goin’ to be handed to him and if he doesn’t do anything to rebuild the fucked up economy and reputation of the country everybody will say: See? What did you expect from a Black guy?
The other thing which is even more important is Obama or McCain none of them run the country. The US is being ran by the big companies, trusts, CIA and billionaires. It’s not Obama who decides what to do. He will be only an executive officer. If he doesn’t navigate the way the companies want, they get rid of him easily, just as easy as they did JFK. Remember Al Gore? He almost won the election in 2001 but they knew that he would be a pain in the ass, so they did a proactive action and failed him. Obama might be a good man, a strong leader and a face for a new America but that doesn’t bring the economy back to where it was a little more than a year ago, that doesn’t fix the long overdue problem with the health care and that doesn’t create jobs. I listen to his winning speech and I liked it though!
Obama is going to take over Bush in Jan. of 09 and here is what we all should thank George W. Bush for: Attacking Iraq. That was a good decision and then a good job and I hope the Americans stay there as long as they can and kill as many Iraqis as needed. Iraqis should have been punished for what they did to Iran, Kuwait and Kurds and they received their punishment and they are still getting it and I hope it won’t end soon. You all burn to death, you motherfucker Iraqis.
(Photo: This cartoon of Obama and his wife on the cover of the New Yorker a little while ago brought controversy but didn't ruin his reputation and didn't help his opponent to win. Of course it was not as catchy as the movie Michael More made, Fahrenheit 9/11 to defeat George W. Bush and obviously none of them worked)

Oct. Cooper Test Result Chart

I wasn’t feeling good at all yesterday so I didn’t go to my exercises. The reason is not important here. So I went today at about 12:00 and like every time I’m there I started with Cooper Test on a treadmill. It was not easy and I knew that I’m not doing well but didn’t turn so bad eventually.
The chart on the top is the results of this month and they are accurate. If I only am able to keep on practicing for 3 more months, I think I’ll be able to reach the desired goal. As you see I reached the best time in the fourth day and that was when I ran 2301 m. I will put charts and table with more detail for the next month. Let’s hope nothing bad happens in the next two months left to the year. I need to keep this job or get a better one and I work hard for them. These exercises actually are part of them. I should look into POPAT.

Disappointing W.

I finally went to a movie theatre in B. C. today after more than year and a half living in this shitty province and watched a movie: W. I went to a Cineplex in Metropolis. This is a huge shopping and professional centre and over-crowded and busy like most of the places in B. C., full of short, ugly, stupid Asian girls from different parts of Far East.
I have to say that the movie is boring and I’m totally disappointed. This is not what I was expecting from Oliver Stone. Great movies like Platoon, JFK and The Doors are the ones which remind me of him. But like every other director he had his up and downs. This is his second based on what I know. Alexander was a total disappointment and that’s why I didn’t catch it.
Anyway the movie lacks a good story. It begins from when George W. Bush was a university student and goes up to the time when he got the governor of Texas, points out that he can’t stay in a job and that his father who always makes telephone calls and is his reference. But Stone doesn’t say how the hell he wins 2001 election. He perhaps doesn’t see the need because it’s been already said by Michael Moore in his 9/11 movie. The rest mostly I knew. The movie doesn’t also say about the time he was in Texas Air National Guard and although says he goes to Harvard but doesn’t cover any of those days.
Actors and actors are OK and they simply resemble the characters. One more stupid thing in the movie that I forgot to mention is 9-11-01 attacks and the Bush administration reaction to that. Stone shows that they are talking about attacking Iraq and Colin Powell opposes but doesn’t show anything about after and before the attacks to the World Trade Centre and other targets in the US. Once again may be because it had already been covered in Fahrenheit 9/11 movie. I wanted to get the DVD of this movie just right after it’s released. Now I believe it’s just a waste of money. I also don’t recommend it. Spend your time somewhere else!

Breakthrough

I did my regular Cooper Test exercise in a different way yesterday which led to an amazing result. I did 5 min. of jugging at the rate of 5.5 to 6 miles per hour. Then I had a short pacing, and turned the machine on and quickly increase the speed to 7 miles per hour. I passed the first 6 min. doing that speed and then slowly every 2 min. or so added 0.2 mile per hour to the rate. I gained 1.43 miles at the end and was classified as good for the first time.
I should say it was a quick advance, a breakthrough but got me really tired. I think if I practise this method for a few months, I’ll be fine. I mailed the physician examination which I had gotten from the doctor in Squamish to CF yesterday and they should have it today (It was express mail which cost me a little more than $7 for a 30 KM distance mail!) That was the last thing they needed from me. So I’m hoping to hear from them in a few months to a year.

National Election '08

I didn’t vote in the recent national election which was last Tue. I received my election card from Elections Canada though. I didn’t vote for several reasons:
1- I haven’t had a good, complete study of the parties, their policies and plans and their views on different issues of the country.
2- I don’t think in a Capitalism society the parties run the country. The companies reign. Not to mention that the parties, each are supported by group of companies, I think. And of course the companies don’t care about anything but increasing their profit, gaining more cheap labour from poor countries around the world and finding ways to reduce the wages and benefits. So what’s the point of voting then?
3- Caucasian Canadians usually treat non-Caucasians like me, very rudely. So I didn’t go to an election station to be humiliated and teased. That’s what they mostly do as soon as they see you have dark hair and a strange name and family name.
4- Economy was perhaps the number one issue for Canadians in this year’s election. So it was for me as well. But I had other problems that would like to hear about the parties’ views on them, which doesn’t look like they are as important as to the Canada-born Canadians and Caucasians. Issues like non-stop flow of refugees to Canada, unemployment, cheap survival jobs, more and more populated cities.
After all the Conservatives won the election and Harper is the Prime Minister again. I don’t know much about their policies and plans for the future of Canada but there are three things that I know about them and would like to share:
1- Harper is going to be tougher on crime. His government is going to jail the criminals instead of letting them walk around. It’ll be very good, if they really do that.
2- Canada’s economy has suffered least from the recent turmoil and that’s because of what Flaherty, the finance minister has done. Also Canadian banks have not many investments on the US mortgages, so it didn’t bother them as much as it did to the Europeans.
3- Canada, no matter what party runs the country, has to be in Afghanistan. The mission has been started when the Liberals had the majority or (minority!) in the Parliament and was carried on when the Conservatives started. Canada is there because the US wanted them there. And Canada has to obey because the two countries are allies and have strong economical ties. I don’t blame Harper’s government for extending the mission to 2011. You lose something to gain something. Or better to say: No pain, No gain.
So anyway this is my partial view on election ’08. I’m trying to get more involved as I become an older Canadian citizen and getting into government and official jobs. I’d like the day that I talk to my MP just to see his or her reaction to a non-Caucasian, foreign-born Canadian who has a role in this country.
One last world: Liberals, it’s said, that they received the least support since the confederation in this year’s election. I think they made a mistake and it’s apparently only my personal opinion: Canadians who are born here might laugh at me but the stupid mistake is putting Dion as the leader of the party. I mean let’s say he’s a great politician, strategist and charismatic person. He’s not able to communicate with people! He doesn’t understand English. John, a partner of mine, at work said that he didn’t understand him! There was a short video on CBC that showed him sitting with an interviewer. He was asked: What would you do if you were the prime minister today? He didn’t understand the question! The guy repeated his question in this way again: What would you do if hypothetically you were the prime minister of Canada? This time he pretended that he didn’t hear the guy! So would you trust such a person to run your country especially in this moment or turmoil? I wouldn’t!

Confusing Economy

I really don’t understand this stupid economics. Now you’re able to buy CND $1.29 for every 1 US dollar you spend. It was vice versa last year, even a few months ago when I was in Europe and Iran. I think nobody understands; not even the economists! I guess if they knew, we wouldn’t have been in this mess now!
Crude oil is down to almost $74 a barrel. Can you believe this crap? Just remember July! That’s probably why Jafar hasn’t called me yet and probably never will. I was goin’ to have a job with Halliburton through one of his friends but I think the whole story was bullshit. It’s a long one but I rather not to mention it here.
Anyway I’ll be doing this crappy job and keep looking till I get a better one and keep up this blog. One of the guys I had contacted once in late Aug. and that’s a lease guy, e-mailed me and asked me if I had bought one. Here’s my answer at the end of this post:

No!

Who would get a car?! I don't even know if I'm hired tomorrow or not!!! May be 2 years after we pass recession successfully
and survive it. Thanks for asking though. I'll pray for you.

Correction

I need to correct a recent mistake here: I wrote about my progress in Cooper Test and that's not what should be corrected. That's true. I'm doing well but I'm not just in Good class now. I should reach 2300 m. to be in that class and the best I've done so far is 2108 m. which is way far from Good. I should exercise harder. It's still Average.

Better Results or Error?

Either these treadmills are broken and don’t show the correct results or I’m getting better fast! I went to the gym for the second consecutive night today because I was not tired when I came home and I got 1.31 miles in 12 min. which equals to 2108.23 m. and considered good. I did well last night as well but can’t remember what I got.
I have a long way ahead of me to beat 2500 m. and reach Very Good and I’m goin’ to practice and get that. I will try another machine tomorrow or the night after and will compare the results.

I Won!

It’s been a little more than a month that I’ve been working in here and I had a few confrontations with the assholes who were trying to make up stories and get away from fines and tickets. A serious one was an asshole who made a big deal out of it. I was a little worried because the guy threatened to call a top manager and the mayor.
Although none of the bullshits could scare me off but I was a bit worried after that. So when I got on the bus the morning after that and saw a Commissionaire sitting and heading the same destination that I’m to, I got really scared! I thought that’s a guy who was goin’ to take over me, without even a warning! I tried to talk to the old man and ask him where he was going to but couldn’t! I excuse myself once and hoped that he heard me but he didn’t! So I sighed when he got off the bus half the way.
A few non-working day passed and I did my first day of this period. My partner noticed a letter from the guy on the desk of the supervisor. He was even more worried. He’s an old guy who has just bought an apartment condo and he’s worried about not being able to pay his mortgages. I had a report on the desk of the supervisor that night; so he knew what had happened. He told us he was happy with our team and added that the guy had a short visit of him. He said that he noticed that the guy was a jerk especially when he said that he wanted to talk to the Operations Manager and the mayor! He said that he had told the guy that there wouldn’t be a need for this conversation if he was going to talk to those guys!
So we won, or better to say that I won. The guy has a ticket which must be paid and costs him at least $30, if is paid in a week, has lost his reputation and can show up in our jurisdiction unless he acts like a real nice person and is obedient.

I'm Good!

I went to this Guilford Recreation Centre for the second time today. It’s not a bad gym, a little better compare to Coquitlam but the fucking lockers swallow your change! I mean every time you get in you have to put money in and the locker doesn’t give it back to you at the end of the session! I heard that there’s a track and especially when I was told it was upstairs I thought of something like Talisman where I liked it a lot. But ... it was completely disappointing!
So I decided to go do my Cooper Test on a treadmill as usual and today I did 1.29 miles in 12 min. which is 2076.04 m (have more digits!) and considered good. It’s so close to Average which I just got out from but shows that I can easily beat 2500 m and get Very Good after considerable amount of exercises.
(Photo: Dr. Kenneth Cooper who the test is named after his after he designed this physical fitness test. I may write about him later)

Not too Far from the Pick of Success

Having just said how Iranians are being recognized as a civilized and developed nation all around the world not only because of the way the government of Iran presents great Iranian culture but also the way they behave abroad, I would like to present one another way that Iranians express themselves to the world of entertainment, this time: Being an exotic escort in Canada.
Nevertheless this is not the first time Iranian girls are involved in sex trade business. They started it a few years ago in Dubai, UAE but the difference is those poor girls are either from families who suffer from poverty or forced to do so. How about these ones who are all immigrants living in West Vancouver, North Vancouver and Coquitlam and have their noses up in the air all the time?
This is not Ahmadi-Nejad who forces them to be an official highly-paid prostitute in Canada. This is Iranian people who actually keep this religious-fundamentalist–Islamic government on the throne.
(Photo: This small scanned piece is cut from a local free entertainment magazine available in metropolitan Vancouver, called Straight of Georgia, as a resemblances to Strait of Georgia in the south of the province. I didn't erase the number in case someone wants to have fun either with Persian girls or with any other background. Why would I?)

An Idea

Last week I had to walk all the way from Braid Station to a damn 7-11 store to get the fucking key out of a mailbox belong to that asshole S. J. because the idiot simply didn't ask for extra key while I was there and we also couldn't duplicate it because first of all the key is a large one which is not cut everywhere and second of all a Do Not Duplicate is curved big on it and I don't think it's easy to have a key like that cut anywhere.
So I was walking after 8 hours of work and I was dying on me. I thought what if I pretend that I fainted and fell down! Someone may notice in a few minutes and day call an ambulance. They'll take me to a hospital. They treat me and then they send me home. Furthermore I may feel not too good and spend the night.
On the second thought it's not feasible. They will charge me all the costs: from the ambulance to hospital bed, meals, medicine, tests, etc. especially because I'm not covered by any health plan. But that might works for someone who is covered if s/he plays fine!

A Good Example for Teens

Looks like Iranians are far more advanced, decent, nice and civilized than what I originally thought and expressed in last couple of posts.
This time a criminal teaches youth how to stay away from alcohol, drugs, theft, speeding and so on! I should congratulate Canadians on their stupidity! They let such people out and think someone like these changes overnight. Just looking at the way this guy dresses and presents him: sleeveless underwear, chain (it’s leash actually!), tattoos all over. What a sound and safe example for young kids and teens! I think there’s at least one thing that Harper said and I liked a lot and that is keeping young offenders and violators behind the bars for a longer term and that obviously works if their prison is different from adults and the period gets longer every time they repeat the violation.
(Photo: Amir J., the criminal who is being saved by our Lord, Jesus in front of a church! Obviously this kind hearted, well-dressed polite exotic human is a good example for the teens and kids to follow and fill up Canadian jails! That's good in a way. That creates lots of jobs in the society! Imagine the number of cops, Juvenal facility guards, lawyers, judges, etc we'll need all across Canada, coast to coast when creatures like this navigate our society!)

Devastated Nation

I was changing the stations yesterday to find something interesting to watch until I noticed that Not Without my Daughter is being broadcasted. I watched it. The movie is banned in Iran and actually I saw it first when I was in the University. Saeed K. A chemical engineering student from Tehran Pars, a guy I used to know and we used to go home taking the same route, lent that to me.
The movie looked stupid and ridiculous to me on those days and also yesterday but I thought today to me: What made those people making such an insulting and offensive movie to Iranians, their culture and their country?
The answer is simple and easy: Iranians, themselves. Iranians started going down and deep right after the 1979 Revolution and more specifically a few years after 1980-88 War. Now the country is corrupt. Poverty, prostitution, crime, drugs and everything is part of normal daily life.
Rather than that are the Iranians outside their home country who are just another shame, even bigger to their culture and heritage. Here in Coquitlam there’s a Starbucks which in the afternoon these disgusting and shameless people sit, smoke and show their legs or tattoos and basically act like a real jerk. This is all they have learnt from Western culture. And this is a large number of them. Don’t say that there are Iranians who work for NASA or teach in this university or that collage. I know all about that. Even if that is a fact, that doesn’t change anything. Academic education doesn’t help with social and humanitarian attitude. One person could be a Ph. D. Graduate but act like an animal like the one I just mention in the post dated Sep. 25th.
(Photo: This piece of paper scanned from Vancouver Sun shows an Iranian predator animal who is a criminal from the rich community of West Vancouver, where the supporters of fallen King Pahlavi or Iran live! There are many of them here in Canada. Click on the scanned paper and read the story)

One City, One World

One thing came to my mind today when I was watching a low-quality downloaded version of Spiderman 3. This is so silly that many Hollywood stories either happen in L. A. or New York. The following is just examples of the New York ones which I remember I've watched:
The Day after Tomorrow
Spiderman
(3 parts)
I Am Legend
Godzilla
I mean how silly is that? Actually Pejix mentioned that when we were leaving the theater after watching I Am Legend (and it was not good!) in Copenhagen last Jan. And he’s right. Hollywood movie-makers should be more creative.
(Photo: This photo shows the moments when people were being chased by Godzilla in New York. I guess it shortly after they electrocuted the monster and got out of its mouth or maybe before that!)

Sick Motherfucker Bastard

I just found this piece of news in a local paper the day before, scanned it and put it here for those who don’t believe what this civilized community of immigrants are all about in Canada. I just give you a shot of this: The motherfucker, animal, sick piece of crap had been to a small town in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where the closest hospital is 45 min. drive away and the son of a bitch who deserves being hung, sexually touched his patients.
Having this crappy justice system of Canada, no serious punishment is expecting to be read to him and he walks free probably in a few months and starts the same misconduct.

2.4 KM on Treadmill

I went back to gym just the day before after probably 3 weeks lack of exersice and that made me really tired. I felt a bit better today. I did trealmill in the beginning like everyday and in the last two days I tried 2.4 KM run requested by the Navy. Here are the results:
I- Sep.23.08, 13:40
II- Sep.24.08, 13:30
I'm sure I'm able to beat 13 and 12 min. easily in a few months. I only have to stop eating so much damn snacks like chips, doughnut, cookies and this kind of crap. This job takes lots of hours out of me going to and coming back home. I'mmoving to a new place at the end of this month if everything goes well. Nothing is clear though because I'm still in the process of different job applications. 5 of them! But I'll stick to my exersices as long as I'm able to 'cause after all I do that for my health and can't live without it.

A Very Big Loss in the World of Music

As I've mentioned earlier several times the purpose of this weblog is not being a daily or weekly news media. I’d like to write about the things happens daily, the ones I like them or are important to me, though.
So I would like to express my sympathy to all of the fans of one of the greatest Rock bands of all times, Pink Floyd, especially PinkFloydish, for losing its keyboard player and vocalist, Rick Wright. He died after a short battle with cancer in the UK at the age of 65, last week, Sep.15. I always enjoyed Pink Floyd and I will enjoy their song always. I specially remember Rick from their live performance in Pompeii and their song called Echoes. I get that special DVD from Chapters, through their online order.
Anyways, Rick was great and Pink Floyd is great and they will always be. This is nonsense that some people say Pink Floyd is out of fashioned music or so. This is real music which always be fresh and mind blowing.
(Photo: Rick Wright in live performance in Pompeii, Italy in 1972, the DVD is obtainable from Chapters or Amazon)

This Year's National Election

The Federal Government is scrutinized again because it’s screwing the country, has being said so another national election is on the way for Oct.18. I have never voted in Canada and I think I will not this time again because of moving around so much, Elections Canada has no clue where I am. Besides that I don’t know much about the parties and their plans for the country. So voting is useless for a person for me, in my view.
If there was a party who wanted to stop immigration to Canada in any form, I would vote for it. But I don’t think there’s any, because they need slaves here and they don’t care about pollution, population and environment, so let’s not vote!
Actually I’m going to contact both Green Party and NDP to ask them about their views on environment and immigration and then I may join one and save my vote for the next election and start being an active and loyal member.
So this is it about the current campaign and will update anything I find in that regard. I’ll be a bit busy this weekend because I’m moving out of this shithole, going to another shithole! I won’t tell S. J. up to the last min. I wanna make up a story and pull his leg a bit.
(Photo: I found this amazing cartoon of Harper in a local newspaper. I liked what he said in his campaign the other day though. He said that young criminals who commit murder get only 10 years imprisonment and he had a plan to increase it to life which is a very good idea and as he said will decrease the rate of crime)

A Little Relief on Gas

Crude Oil price has dropped to $108.38 a barrel, the lowest in last six month or close. This is strange because fall is here and cold weather is closing. It was sky high all summer long, had big effect on summer vacations, including flight fares.
But that decline doesn’t help with the gasoline price. The lower the gas price is, the happier the auto makers in the world and specially the US. It makes me happy and everybody as well because I can buy a big engine car with no worry about the gas.
The car I’d like to buy in early ’09, if everything goes well, is a Dodge Challenger. It’s a remade of 70s, a muscular 3.5 L engine, coupe. All I have to do is to wait 3 months, save a little, focus on job and keep job searching. We’ll see what happens.
(Photo: I took two pictures of two major gas stations in Barnet Hightway, Coquitlam early this morning, around 01:30 AM and put them together. Compare it to the price of gas two years ago)

Purchasing a Vehicle in Lower Mainland, BC

Car is a definite need here in a metropolitan Vancouver. You either have a car or waste most of your time. So I hope this information here could be useful for the people who are planning to live in Brit”shit” Columbia and specifically “Shit”couver. My point here is the more you ask people not to do this or that, the more they avoid you. So I’m not trying to do that. I, at least, can tell you what to do to ease your life a bit.
So I was goin’ to buy a used one and talked to different dealers. Here’s what has happened so far:

1- I exchanged e-mails with an Asian guy in a Toyota dealership. I was goin’ to buy a Prius. I know that sounds a little (may be not a little!) too much for me but I thought I was able to get that job with McElhanney and I’d fine. But as I mentioned earlier the guy told me that I should have waited may be up to 3 months. So I changed my mind and then he introduced me a 2004 Corolla, the car I always hated! Luckily his manager said that I could not finance that car because I’m a fresh starter (in terms of job!) and usually they wait up to 2 months and then approve someone.

2- I e-mailed a Suzuki dealer here near me, in Port Coquitlam regarding a SX4 I had in mind to finance. It’s a small sedan, a little bigger than my Echo and looks like a nice car to me. When I got there, the salesperson, a former Navy officer, tried to sell me a grey one through a strange type of financing opportunity. I told him that I didn’t like the colour but he didn’t listen. Then he introduced me a young Thai girl, whom I found out later that is his wife! Obviously his second or may be the third wife after divorcing his Canadian one. The girl, 29, who speaks English with a stupid Thai accent, said that she was too old to be single! He shouts at her and order her, things that Canadians, and in general Western men, can dream about in their marriage. She obviously says nothing in back. She probably has been a prostitute or something like that in Thailand and if she was not married to him, she would have been a massage parlor or a 7-11 person now.

Anyways we then agreed to work on something else. He introduced me a hatchback car, actually two of them: A Swift and a Yaris. I test drove them both. The Swift, which he said was belong to an old lady and fine, had a problem with its gear when I tried to put it on reverse. The Yaris which was being driven by her wife, the Thai girl, was apparently fine but so expensive for a 2006 used car. So when they called the insurance guy, first I claimed that I get 15% off for my insurance while they offered only 10% and then when they fixed that, the insurance guy and also the salesperson, the addicted psycho, both said that I should include collision in my insurance because I’m financing. Other than that I said I only need $200,000 coverage for the car while they were talking about $1,000,000 and $2,000,000! I was really being sick and tired of this shit so I called off the meeting and said that I would be there tomorrow because I need to obtain more driving and insurance history from Alberta. I’ve never called them up to this moment but that Thai girl calls me every day and obviously I ignore her. She even text messaged me once. The stupid bitch woke me up today at 09:18!
Will update if anything comes up on this matter
