Spirit rover of NASA landed on the red planet, Mars, successfully. The rover is much bigger than the previous one which was sent to Mars in 1997 (I guess). It's as big as a ... let me see ... a small car. I may say a Mini. A bit smaller. The cameras are mounted on a camera-head, as high as a regular human being's eyes. Therefor the photos which will be sent by the rover, gives us the same view as we are on the plant.The above photo is one of the first ones sent by the rover. NASA is waiting for colour photos but I have no idea why the first series are not coloured. May be they are setting an apparatus on the rover, remotely.
