Brainless, Indigenous People of Canada (B. I. P. C.)

I have no sympathy for the indigenous people of Canada after these so-called graces of children is found. 100 years or something years ago brutal people savagely killed innocent children, who had been separated from their parents and as much wrong and sad this is, it doesn't give the native people to burn churches and say silly things. I, however, am not surprised as I truly believe we cannot expect more from people who never have wanted to grow and live at the time.
They constantly complain that they can no longer live the way their ancestors used to live decades ago! And how that is? This is how: hunting, trapping, doing nothing and just lazing around, fighting each other over land or herd of bison, etc.! Thousands of people come to Canada from every corner of the world and adopt themselves to the modern era, not that everything is right in the today's society, but no one, and I repeat, no one anywhere still wants to live of trapped or hunted animal anywhere in the world!
And now what they have done? They started burning Catholic churches all over the country because, it was the Catholic church that founded Residential Schools in Canada, years ago and they are responsible for these unmarked graves of children. So today's churches, left from those days, should be burnt as a way of protest and disgust! The funny thing is the response from local authorities: They've considered these incidents as " suspicious "!!! Everyone knows that native people have done it and apparently there's not going to be any charges! It's like someone goes to German Embassy in Ottawa and sets the place on fire because Germany invaded the neighbouring countries in 1939! That's how so-called indigenous people are!

Shutting Down an Asshole

Month of June is about to end without anything special. Just going to work and coming back home. The only thing which has been different in this month was my injury that has put me on a miserable light duty until the end of the month. One other thing happened and despite the fact that it's not important, I though I should write about it because it's better than not writing at all!
Lazy Ass sent me a few messages indicating that he needed to talk to me, 5 days ago. That's his habit. I, with some delay responded and asked him what he wanted. he said that he needed to tell me on the phone. We talked and it appeared that he needed money! This is not the first time that piece of shit asks for money. You imagine this scenario:
  • Young male at the age of 27. Born and raised here
  • No education. I doubt that he has finished high school
  • Lives at his father's house and rents outs the other rooms
  • Claims he has clients that he guide them to be fit. A sort of exercise/work-out-body builder coach!
  • Has a belly that makes her breath like a buffalo and prevents him from walking easily! Let alone running!
  • Eats shit food constantly, 3 to 4 times daily from fast food joints and cheap East Indian take-outs! Lost of nasty White Rice (which East Indians cannot live without it!), Bread (Roti and similar shit) and lots of meat of different kind
  • He owns lots of action figure of a famous character that I don't know (and don't care about!). He claims that each worth $100 or more!
  • He has bought a big screen television, I guess, 85" or around that size and that's his pride! He lays down on the bed and watches stupid B-Movies or plays childish video games, sometimes for hours and hours!
Would you lend an asshole like this even a Penny

I told him that I would call him tomorrow. I didn't! He called and I didn't pick up! He then called the next day and this time I picked and I greeted him very nicely. He said that he called me and I didn't pick up! I told him that the telephone must have been in the closet (the locker!) or I was away! He said that I had said that Io would call! I said I had said I would call if I got the money but I didn't! So I didn't call! Then I made up a story about the two people who I usually go to, if I have a monetary problem and how one turned me down and the other one didn't answer the phone! He asked me about my credit cards after I told him that I had not been paid since Jun.05 and I said I only have a few dollars left(!) which I will be using them for grocery and gasoline! He bought them all and we said goodbye!
I could have simply not answer his call again or tell him to go fuck himself but I wanted to play with him! If he calls next time, I would tell him that his father was one of the people whom I reached to for money and he was the one who didn't answer my call referring to the argument that I had with his father, actually, about a month ago and we have not talked since! This will complete my story and in this way I keep the relationship open while refusing his request, politely but in a fake manner!
(Photo: This picture can be interpreted in two different ways: 1- I shut him down by the fake story I made but politely and without hurting him. 2- I showed him this sign that my bank is closed! Not because it's passed the business hours. It's out of funds!)

Complete Immunization

Province of Alberta has now passed 70% immunization milestone that they have aimed for and in order to encourage the rest of the population now a lottery is introduced! In a country that everything is based on money, you have to use monetary media to push stupids towards health!
The country in such a shit that thousands and thousands of businesses are shut down and a bunch of selfish assholes have to be offered money to get immunized so the businesses can be reopened!
My second shot, though, is scheduled for one day soon and I will get it despite the fact that I mainly intended to get that to be able to fly out of the country but now all of the trip plans I have had seem not feasible.
I wanted to go to Italy and not only see the places but also get together with that silly Italian buddy of mine in south but now with this injury I don't even think it's a wise idea to ask the company for a time off. I also had a plan to go to, mainly south and southwestern US for a hike and seeing my old friend, The Pika but he's back to the old country and that part of US is facing a bad drought.
I guess no trip for 2021 either!

Bad Injury

Ten employees, or seven, I'm not sure, were tested positive for Corona Virus more than 2 weeks ago at my workplace and the employer tried to keep it quiet because they don't want to be shut! The business is booming and no company, which is doing well in this bad situation that mostly are suffering, wants to close down. So they have used every measure and they are operating full time.
I, at the same time, unluckily, if I could say that, got injured and missed 11 days from work. if the injury is not too severe, you wont be off work and if it's not severe, again, you're not going to have a pleasant time, just because you're off work. There were night that I couldn't sleep more than 2 hours as a result of the extreme pain. I'm a bit better now (not that anyone cares!) and back to the workplace but I do light duties which is mentally painful! Besides now I am on the edge as the employers usually don't like injured or sick employees but that was the Assistant Operations Manager suggestion to go back. I could be home and get 90% of my wage, provided by the WCB but I didn't wanna argue with the evil woman
I did a few job applications but with the market not being too good, I still have no choice but hanging to this job. Hopefully I can go back to my job in less than two week and end the mental torture! The physical usual pain then will start!

The Tailor was Thrown in the Vase at last!

The Mumbling Guy, my Indian (or as it's said here in Canada, East Indian! No offence to either ones!) buddy from work usually doesn't call me or any of his friends, if we can call them friends! He is too important to call other! Others must call him. Newlywed , the other East Indian buddy of mine who called him Baee (Hindi for brother) has a problem with that and said once that he wouldn't call him again, ever! I know he cannot resist that but I didn't say anything. This doesn't bother me because I know how big of an idiot and asshole The Mumbling Guy is! I'm fine with that.
I usually send him messages or at times call him. I sent him a message about the XL Pipeline Project being cancelled after years of the struggle with different US administrations, yesterday. Everyone in Alberta who has ever worked in Oil Sands and the related industries, everywhere else in Canada, knows that the project is critical to the industry. This was a problem from the time I was working in Oil Sands and Obama was the president! Now two presidents after him, Biden, the first thing he did, after going to the office, was to cancel the project and yesterday it became official by the company.
Keystone XL Pipeline was supposed to connect northern Alberta Oil Sands industry in the north of the province to the refineries in southern state of Texas. The term XL is added to indicate the big radius of the pipe. There is or are existing pipelines but building and adding this new one is now cancelled
So, as I said, I sent him a message about the cancellation and his response was a bit odd: We will switch industry, if we have to! This is said by someone who has not stopped making money besides his office job, starting maybe, I'm not sure, 5 years ago! He has bought old houses, renovated them with cheap material and has sold them! He,told me, has started a small manufacturing business to make masks for the recent Corona-Virus disaster. I don't know if he has succeeded or not but he once told me he had lost over $100,000 because the money he had paid for the machinery, was stolen from him!
I have said all of the above to introduce his character to the reader and now another thing: From the time I worked with him with that silly company to the time I was laid off and he still was on, he didn't do anything else but making fun of the other, being a big ass-kisser and in a nutshell being a colossal asshole! Even I, whom was his closest buddy at work and we would go to seminars, meetings even lunches and exhibitions together, was not immune! I remember there were two times that we had to go to a local supplier to attend a meeting, discuss issues and do inspection and both times it was very cold (way below -10 ℃) and he sent me, instead of going himself and gave me a silly smirk on his ugly, monkey-like face and said that I had to go. One was in Calgary and the other one was in Edmonton in the middle of a snow storm(!) on the way back.
So I called him yesterday after he had asked me. He could barely heard and his voice was shaking! He has been laid off as well! That was when the Persian proverb came to my mind: The tailor was thrown in the vase at last! What that means is, and that is the story behind this proverb: There was a tailor whose shop was on a very busy road/passage. He was able to see all of the comings and goings of the town while working. So if there was a funeral, he would drop a small rock in a vase he had kept close! One day when two guys were passing his shop, they realized that it was closed. One asked the other: Where is the tailor? The other one goes: He was dropped in the vase, at least!
Yes. The guy who always happy when people lost their job, now he is so miserable that he can barely talk! I know he is financially okay but the fact that he is not having revenue, no money is deposited to his account bi-weekly, is tearing him apart! I'm supposed to see him one day soon. We'll see what he says.

The Art of Making Espresso

Mom bought me an Espresso Machine last month. She was insisting that she wanted to buy something as house warming and eventually we came up with Cafe Roma by Breville. Espresso is an Italian method of brewing coffee beans and if I wanted to explain the difference between espresso and coffee, to someone who does not know, I would say that if you consider coffee as Beer (which has low percentage of alcohol, usually not more than 6% at the most), then espresso is Vodka which doesn't have less than 40% alcohol. Apart from all the above, purchasing an expensive machine does not guarantee a good espresso. First of all this one is not considered a very expensive machine. Breville makes $800 home espresso machines as well but what the manufacturer says is making espresso is an art.
If you got the float(!) on your espresso and if it's think enough, that's when you realize that your espresso is close to what's supposed to be
They are right you need to be patient and do everything according to the instructions, step by step or the result will not come out satisfactory. I have tried the machine twice only and the results have not been bad but I need to work harder to become an espresso artist!

Run and The Intruder were Watched

I went to Lazy Ass's place since he has gone back to his original home, his Dad's, where he was kicked out from(!) almost a years ago, twice, recently and we watched two movies on his big screen television.
The first one was The Intruder which was not actually very bad but hasn't received good reviews. It's an okay movie. I like the new idea of the way that someone, who continuously breaks into a house, is shown in the movie. I'm not going to reveal that to avoid spoiling it but I had not seen something like that in any movie before. So that is why it was interesting and new to me. Dennis Quaid's performance is good. I had not seen him in any movie before this one but I think I heard about him on the news once in regards to something he wanted to do in Canada, maybe seeking asylum(!) more than 10 years ago! But then I realized that it was his brother, Randy, who has a long history with different US law enforcement agencies and stayed shortly in Canada and now is back to the US!
Lazy Ass suggested to order Pizza from this place in northeast quadrant part of the City of Calgary, where majority of the population is refugees from devastated countries. It is called A. B King Pizza. Apparently there are a bunch of Albanians who own and run this place. The girl at the counter is, or at least was at the time we dropped by, a pale blue-eyed, tiny girl with a headscarf. As you can see this big Pizza has been divided to two sections: Vegetarian and Meat Lover. The first part is mine and the second one is Lazy Ass's. However I took 5 slices of his home as he said he would not eat them. I usually don't eat outside, especially when it comes to Pizza because I'd like Whole Wheat crust but no one offers that any more and If I need Pizza, I make it at home but when with Lazy Ass, since he most of the time eats fast food, I think Pizza is the least harmful!
Nevertheless the movie worth watching once. The other movie we watched and that was yesterday and it was much better is called Run. I give a brief description of the story so perhaps you would like to watch:
Kiera Allen plays Chloe in this suspense/thriller called Run
This is the story is a young teenage girl, and a beautiful one too, who is trying to get admission to a state university and find it, surprisingly, that it is not happening despite the fact that she is a smart and hardworking student who is home-schooled by his mother. I'm telling this much because I don't want to ruin it for you. It's a good movie and I'd probably watch it for the second time. It's in the same genre as Silence of the Lambs but not as complicated and not as good.
(Photo, top: Dennis Quaid in a scene of The Intruder. It certainly reminds movie lovers of the famous scene of Jack Nicholson in 1990 The Shining. That is, probably, one of the reasons why the movie has not received good reviews: Many similar scenes from older movies)

No More Complaints by him

It was a surprise to me what happened at work yesterday. We had this Caucasian employee whom was the only one alongside a newly hired one and always complained about the supervisor and company in general by using profanity and at times racial remarks. He came to me shortly before the end of his shift yesterday and wished me all the best. I asked him where he was going and he said home. I thought he had ended his shift and were going home as usual. Then I thought that the supervisor had asked him on the radio to go to the office shortly before that moment and I saw him holding a big envelope on his hand.
All this together and what another employee told me later came to conclusion that he had been laid off! That's a very bad time for that because there're not many jobs available but he's in his country and will be fine, I guess.
I didn't expect that but I recall that he never stayed overtime, even when it was urgently need and requested by the supervisor. I heard that once myself. He, at times, was unresponsive to requests for help and I even brought that up to the attention of the supervisor, indirectly. He spent a considerable amount of time on things that were not required including writing on a board that no one ever looked at, whatever the information they were! Or talking to other employees. I think the company wanted to send a message to the employees that anyone who f*cks around, would be thrown out. The interesting thing that there are other people who do not have a good attendance but they are still onboard. I think those ones have Covid as the excuse! I once got into a short argument because he was telling me what to do but as soon as I told him that we could have gone to the manager, he backed off. I feel bad that I talked to him in that way, now but he always was nice, friendly and helpful to me. He was kind of stupid though because how could you not know that this type of behaviour at work would result in termination? Besides some of the things he said was really stupid. Here are a few examples:

1- He once said: Don't eat dairy products. Any sort of it. Milk, Cheese, Yogurt, etc. They are all bad. He smokes regularly! So dairy products are harmful to your body but smoking is okay!
2- He once said: Every time we go to California (his father lives there), we save all of the cans and bottles from booze and we sell them at the end of the trip and it makes the cost for our gasoline! The poor ignoramus does not understand that for every beverage that you buy, there is an Environmental fee. So if you buy a jar of milk for $5 then the deposit is $.25 and the environmental levy or whatever the title is $.11! So basically you don't get back what you have paid for!
3- I was talking to one of the female employees, a cute Caucasian lady, about travelling and she said that she had not left Canada, ever. This guy goes: You can go with me to California and stay with us at my father's! Yes! Do you really invite someone like that to your father's house?!
(Photo: Using this cartoon I just want to show how frustrated he was at times)
